Title: Sustainable Urban Transport Policy in Europe*

Project start date: November 1st 2022
Project duration: 3 year
Project Budget: 30 thousand euros

The implementation of the common transport policy will make it possible to achieve the goals of sustainable development in the EU countries and further extend it to other countries. For Ukraine, cooperation with the EU is of strategic significance for all sectors, including transport. The dissemination of the EU common transport policy in Ukraine will allow developing approaches to sustainable transport and meeting the contemporary challenges of the economy and society, achieving the sustainable development goals. On the one hand, there is a lack of competencies, knowledge, and skills regarding the sustainable development in new dramatically fluctuating conditions, on the other hand, a vigorously changing society, their mobility stereotypes, artificial intelligence, robotics leads to an urgent need to raise awareness and distribution of EU common values and policy in UA. Thus, it is necessary to spread the EU policy and priorities on city transport among all stakeholders in Ukraine.

The general objective of the module is to enhance awareness of EU sustainable urban transport policy and spread the new mobility approach through education and dissemination of project results.

The specific objectives are the following:
– a creation of educational content for students in sustainable urban transport policy in EU (lectures, presentations, guides etc.);
– distance course for students of different specialties and local authorities;
– creation of Certificate program for students of different specialties and local authorities;
– events for promoting interest in the EU common transport policy including сar-independent lifestyles and disseminate the results of the project to the target audience and general public;
– interuniversity network in EU’s New Mobility Approach.

The main outputs are teaching materials, lectures, seminars, workshops, promotional events, conferences, academic papers, brochures/newsletters, audio-visual media products, website.
