Our Transport System and Logistics Department

The Transport System and Logistics Department was established at the Kharkov National Municipal Economy Academy in 2002. This is one of the leading transport-and-logistic departments engaged in specialists’ training in the sphere of transport systems and logistics. The Department is headed by Viktor Konstantinovich, Dolia, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.

The Department is engaged in training of bachelors in sphere “Transport Processes”, “Management of Organizations”, as well as training of experts and masters in the following specialties:
“Transport Systems”, “Traffic Management and Control”, “Transport Carriage Management”, “Logistics”

The students take a course of studies in cycle of fundamental disciplines provided for by the Academy curricula. In particular, they study the following special subjects:

– passenger traffic;

– cargo traffic;

– international traffic;

– interaction between transport types;

– traffic management;

– customs operations;

– logistics;

– management of supply chains;

– ergonomics;

– and other subjects. To summarize, more than 70 disciplines in every specialty are taught at the Department.

Leading specialists in the field of transport conduct cycles of lectures at the Department.

The Department students are afforded an opportunity to pursue their studies at the Department and, at the same time, have practical training at state motor licensing and inspection departments, leading transport-and-logistics enterprises.

The students write their graduation theses and master’s papers under the guidance of Department teachers who help the students choose specific project-related subjects. All students who finish their studies at the Department with honors may join the Department personnel in future and carry out the research work.
